The Purrfect Plunder

The Purrfect Plunder was developed as a small project for a Game Design and Production course at Arcada University of Applied Sciences. The goal was to build a finished product and publish it on a public site. Our team of four worked with GameMaker Studio 2, and used the Windy Woods template as our basis. Ultimately, we ended up changing everything with the exception of a few of the original sound effects.

Role(s) and responsibilities

Production

  • Built and maintained our high-level roadmap and week-long sprints. delegating tasks while spreading the workload.

  • Led communications and meetings to ensure erveyone was kept informed of progress.

  • Managed project scope and feasibililty adjusting it where needed.

Game design

  • Acted as the lead designer, making the final calls on design choices.

  • Designed the levels, excluding the tutorial.

  • Created and maintained a game design (and overall project) document in Notion.

​

Marketing

  • Put together the game's trailer (recorded gameplay, recorded voice-over and edited the footage and audio).
